ASRC Federal Systems Solutions LLC, a subsidiary of ASRC Federal, requires a highly motivated and experienced Industrial Engineering Technician IV to serve as the expert Valve and Pump Mechanic to support the ASTROS Contract. We are looking for a very skilled individual with a history of conferring with Engineers and understanding the rebuild and test process of Valve and pumps used in Aerospace Testing.
ASRC Federal is supporting cutting edge propulsion systems testing at the Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL) and we are looking for the best people to be a part of this research.
Responsibilities:
  • Knowledge of Cryogenic, Hydraulic, Pneumatic components for use in Industrial and Aerospace applications.
  • Experience in setting up and building test systems.
  • Experience building test panels using high pressure tubing, fittings, valves, and pumps to 10,000 PSI.
  • The ability to rebuild valves actuators, pumps using instructions, Technical Orders, and test procedures.
  • Troubleshoot any mechanical or piping issues.
  • Any experience in Liquid Penetrant inspection is a plus.
  • Serve as the Senior Technician in the Test Stand Valve Shop.
  • Be responsible for testing, repairing and rebuilding of all major components.
  • Serve as a team member on the National Board Vessel Repair Program.
  • Prompt and steady attendance is vital to the success of this position.
  • Must place Safety of self and others ahead of everything else. All support must be well thought out, with safety in mind, before started.
  • Must have great customer service skills and be able to communicate the status of jobs and understand deadlines.
  • Must have ability to work within a defined schedule and communicate any deviations.
  • Must have the ability to maintain a professional demeanor.
  • Must be able to gain access to the customer's computer networks.
  • Will be required in both cold and very hot environments.

Education/Experience:
  • HS Graduate or Equivalent
  • 7+ years of related experience.

Clearance:
  • Must be able to obtain a DOD Secret Clearance
