Are you looking for a hands-on role with a hard-working, supportive team? We are seeking a dependable Asphalt Construction Laborers to assist in building and repairing high-quality roads, driveways, and parking lots.

Working directly under the supervision of the Site Manager, you will play a vital role in every stage of the paving process—from initial site preparation to final surface finishing. Whether you're starting your career in skilled trades or bringing existing paving experience, we provide a team-oriented environment where safety, quality, and effort are valued.

Key Responsibilities

  • Site & Surface Preparation: Clean, sweep, level, and prepare surfaces before asphalt application, ensuring proper adhesion and smooth groundwork.
  • Material Placement & Finishing: Spread, rake, and smooth hot asphalt materials uniformly across designated work areas (roads, driveways, parking lots).
  • Equipment Operation: Safely operate standard hand tools and equipment used in paving (e.g., tampers, plate compactors, asphalt rakes, power brooms, and rollers).
  • Teamwork & Efficiency: Collaborate closely with equipment operators, rakers, and site supervisors to complete projects on time and up to quality standards.
  • Safety & Site Maintenance: Maintain a clean, organized work area and strictly follow all OSHA guidelines, personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements, and company safety rules.

Qualifications & Requirements

Minimum Requirements:

  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Valid Driver’s License and reliable transportation to job sites or meeting locations.
  • Strong work ethic, punctuality, and a positive team-first attitude.
  • Ability to work long hours outdoors in varying weather conditions (heat, dust, noise).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior experience in asphalt paving, concrete, or general heavy civil construction.
  • Familiarity with basic asphalt laying techniques and surface compaction methods.
  • Experience operating light construction equipment (rollers, skid steers, or tampers).

Physical Demands

  • Ability to lift, carry, and maneuver up to 50–75 lbs regularly throughout the workday.
  • Ability to stand, bend, kneel, shovel, and perform repetitive manual labor for extended periods.
