About Optimize Auto

Optimize Auto is seeking experienced A- and B-Level Automotive Technicians in Orem, Utah, with 5+ years of professional automotive repair experience. This is a Monday-Friday, no-weekends opportunity offering $30-$50 per flagged hour, production bonus opportunities, and estimated annual earning potential of $85,000-$115,000+ for A-Level Technicians and $60,000-$95,000 for B-Level Technicians based on production.

Optimize Auto is a growing, modern repair shop with a strong team culture at the center of its workplace. The team is supportive, works well together, and emphasizes open communication when challenges arise. Whether the issue involves day-to-day shop systems or team dynamics, the goal is to communicate, work through problems together, and maintain a positive, low-drama environment where employees enjoy coming to work.

The shop services a diverse mix of domestic, Asian, European, and fleet vehicles, with fleet work representing a significant portion of its current volume. Technicians have opportunities to tackle everything from general maintenance and diagnostics to electrical concerns and major repairs such as head gaskets, transmission swaps, and engine R&R.

The facility currently has three bays and three lifts, with a fourth lift planned as the shop grows. Technicians also have access to Autel diagnostic equipment, Tekmetric, heated service bays, and cooling equipment. Optimize Auto invests in its team through paid training, continuing education programs, in-shop training, ASE reimbursement, and occasional team activities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and repair mechanical, drivability, and electrical concerns across domestic, Asian, European, and fleet vehicles.
  • Perform intermediate to advanced automotive diagnostics using scan tools, including Autel MaxiSys equipment.
  • Complete general repair, preventive maintenance, vehicle inspections, and component replacement work.
  • Perform major repairs such as head gasket replacement, transmission swaps, and engine removal and replacement.
  • Troubleshoot automotive electrical systems and complete electrical repairs based on diagnostic findings.
  • Prepare repair estimates while coordinating with the shop on recommended work; parts ordering is handled separately.
  • Document inspections, findings, and repair information using Tekmetric.
  • Work toward an expected production level of approximately 40 billed hours per week while maintaining accurate, detail-oriented repairs.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of professional automotive repair experience REQUIRED
  • Strong independent repair ability appropriate for an experienced B-Level or A-Level Automotive Technician.
  • Intermediate to advanced automotive diagnostic skills.
  • Electrical diagnostic and repair experience is highly preferred.
  • ASE certifications are preferred, and ASE reimbursement is available.
  • Experience using automotive scan tools and diagnostic equipment.
  • Must provide the personal tools required to perform assigned technician work.
