Director of Sales

ASI Commercial Roofing and Maintenance

Plain City, OH โ€ข On-site

$150K - $170K/yr

Full-time

Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, PTO

Posted 14 days ago

Job description

ASI is an Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP) company headquartered in Plain City, OH, serving the low-slope roofing needs of industrial, commercial and institutional clients since 2001.

Rated #1 in commercial roofing and with a reputation as a trusted and dependable partner, ASI is the go-to expert for property managers and business owners for roof replacement, restoration, repairs and maintenance and for builders and developers on new construction projects.

POSITION DESCRIPTION DETAILS

As our business continues to grow, we're creating a new Director of Sales position to provide strategic leadership for our sales organization. This is a unique opportunity to join our executive leadership team and build the systems, coaching, accountability, and sales culture that will support ASI's continued expansion. If you're an experienced sales leader who enjoys developing people, creating winning strategies, and driving measurable business growth, we'd love to talk with you.

Reporting directly to the President, the Director of Sales will oversee ASI's commercial sales team while developing and executing the company's overall sales strategy. Rather than carrying an individual sales quota, your success will be measured by the success of the teamโ€”developing talent, improving performance, expanding market share, and creating scalable sales processes that position ASI for long-term growth. Today, you'll lead a team of experienced sales representatives, with the opportunity to help recruit, develop, and build the next generation of sales professionals as ASI prepares for future retirements and continued expansion. You'll work closely with estimating, operations, project management, and executive leadership to ensure exceptional customer experiences from initial opportunity through project completion.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE

  • Develop and execute ASI's strategic sales plan to drive continued revenue growth.
  • Lead, coach, mentor, and develop a team of Commercial Sales Representatives.
  • Establish KPIs, activity expectations, accountability measures, and performance dashboards.
  • Conduct one-on-one coaching, ride-alongs, pipeline reviews, and professional development sessions.
  • Recruit, interview, hire, onboard, and retain top-performing sales professionals.
  • Strengthen relationships with commercial property owners, facility managers, general contractors, property management firms, consultants, and strategic partners.
  • Identify new market opportunities and expand business through networking, referrals, and strategic partnerships.
  • Monitor pipelines, forecasting, conversion rates, and CRM activity using FieldEase.
  • Collaborate with estimating, operations, project management, accounting, and executive leadership to ensure successful project execution.
  • Analyze market trends, competitive activity, and customer needs to continuously improve sales performance.
  • Prepare sales reports, forecasts, and strategic recommendations for executive leadership.

QUALIFICATIONS INCLUDE

We're looking for a leader who enjoys building high-performing teams just as much as winning new business.

Qualified candidates will ideally have:

  • 7+ years of progressive commercial sales or business development experience.
  • 3-5+ years of successful sales leadership experience.
  • Experience leading, coaching, and developing sales teams.
  • Strong background in creating KPIs, sales processes, forecasting, and accountability systems.
  • Experience developing strategic growth initiatives and expanding market share.
  • Commercial roofing, construction, building services, facilities management, or related industry experience strongly preferred.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Experience using CRM systems and sales reporting tools.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Construction Management, or a related field preferred (or equivalent experience).ย

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

$150,000 - $170,000 + Bonus/Commission

$10,000 Sign-On Bonus

  • $5,000 after successful completion of 90 days
  • $5,000 after six months

In addition, you'll receive:

  • Quarterly performance bonus opportunity
  • Commission eligibility on personally generated sales
  • Company vehicle
  • Company cell phone
  • Three weeks of PTO available immediately
  • One week of paid sick leave available immediately
  • Medical, dental, and vision insurance
  • Company-paid life insurance
  • Company-paid short-term and long-term disability
  • Accident and critical illness coverage
  • Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP) eligibility after one year

Location

This position is based in Plain City, Ohio, with regular travel throughout the Columbus metropolitan area and surrounding service territories to support customers and the sales team.
