About the Opportunity
LHH Recruitment is seeking a Commercial Property Manager to oversee a portfolio of commercial real estate properties throughout the Portland Metro area. This role is ideal for a proactive professional who enjoys building strong tenant relationships, driving operational excellence, and protecting asset value across retail-focused commercial properties.
The Commercial Property Manager will be responsible for the day-to-day management of assigned assets, serving as the primary point of contact for tenants, vendors, ownership, and internal stakeholders. The successful candidate will have hands-on experience managing commercial properties and a strong understanding of retail property operations.
Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee daily operations for a portfolio of commercial properties.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with tenants, ensuring a high level of customer service and tenant satisfaction.
  • Manage vendor relationships, negotiate service contracts, and oversee maintenance and repair activities.
  • Conduct regular property inspections to ensure assets are maintained to company standards.
  • Coordinate tenant improvements, capital projects, and property enhancements as needed.
  • Assist with annual operating budgets, expense tracking, financial reporting, and variance analysis.
  • Review invoices, approve expenditures, and monitor property-level operating expenses.
  • Support lease administration activities, including lease compliance, renewals, amendments, and tenant correspondence.
  • Coordinate with leasing teams regarding vacancies, tenant move-ins, renewals, and occupancy strategies.
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, as well as company policies and procedures.
  • Respond to property emergencies and resolve operational issues in a timely manner.
  • Prepare ownership reports and provide updates regarding property performance, tenant activity, and operational initiatives.
Qualifications Required
  • 2+ years of commercial property management experience (residential property management experience alone will not be considered)
  • Direct experience overseeing retail properties, shopping centers, or retail-focused commercial portfolios is highly preferred. Knowledge of industrial and office space is also welcomed.
  • Experience working with budgets, financial reporting, and operating expenses.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and property management systems.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to travel within the Portland area as needed.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required; Bachelors Degree or Certification in Business, Real Estate and/or Property Management is preferred.
Pay Details: $80,000.00 to $100,000.00 per year
