Job description

SENIOR CONSTRUCTION PROJECT MANAGER
Primary Purpose
The Senior Construction Project Manager (SPM) will plan, direct, and coordinate activities of designated projects to ensure that goals or objectives of the projects are accomplished within prescribed time frame and funding parameters by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate supervisors.
Principal Duties and Accountabilities
  • Total responsibility for Construction Project Management; labor, materials, schedule, and budget for assigned projects.
  • Will be responsible for several projects simultaneously, depending upon size, complexity, and schedules.
  • Will assist in developing and writing technical proposals.
  • Will develop construction plans and schedules.
  • Will take lead in developing bid pricing and subcontractor selections, and work closely with Estimator/Pricer
  • Will review and approve Proposal SOW, any teaming arrangements and pricing.
  • After award will oversee Projects from kick-off to Completion
  • Manages Contractors, vendors, and inhouse staff.
  • Project Superintendents (PS) Quality Control and Safety Managers are direct reports.
  • Coordinates proper Material Management with PS
  • Attend all meetings as required by SOW.
  • Provide timely status reports to Owner as required by SOW and FSI Management
  • Must prepare for frequent WIP and financial meetings with Accounting and Management
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
  • Four-year degree in Construction Management or 10+ years of construction management experience
  • ASHE Healthcare Construction Certificate (HCC) is required or must be obtained within 60 days after onboarding.
  • Must have considerable experience in developing construction schedules and means.
  • Must have sound successful background in budgets and maintaining costs throughout project lifetimes.
  • Must be reliable and dependable, self-starters who can work on their own.
  • Ability to build strong relationships with subcontractors and suppliers in order to run the site efficiently and effectively.
  • Technical writing background with Corps of Engineers preferred.
  • Enforce Project-Specific Safety Plan and ensure compliance with OSHA safety policies.
  • Design and maintain schedules, critical paths, and budgets for each construction project.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills
  • Industry knowledge and ability to read blueprints.
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills
  • Self-motivated and highly organized, with strong time management skills
  • Comfortable communicating with anyone, from foremen to senior-level managers
  • Delivering strategic solutions for clients
  • Overall knowledge of design, estimating, quality control, construction, and operations
  • Advanced MS Word skills & proficient in MS Office
  • Strong written English language skills
  • Must be able to pass screening process for access to US Military bases.
  • Must be able to work in a sitting position for 8 or more hours per day.
  • Must be able to travel by vehicle or commercial airline.
  • Must be able to lift up to 10 pounds on a regular basis and up to 50 pounds as needed.

Pay Range: $145,000 per year
