Job description

We Are Hiring

Location: Milwauke, WI

Facility: St. Francis

Department/Specialty: ED

Schedule: Rotating | PRN

What You Will Do

Perform trauma support patient care activities in the Emergency Department under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN).

  • Assist with procedures ordered by a physician and/or a Registered Nurse (RN) under scope of Board of Nursing and department rules and regulations.
  • Respond to Code Blue and trauma resuscitation calls within the department.
  • Perform clerical duties as assigned.
  • Provide training support to other staff members under the direction of a Registered Nurse (RN).
What You Will Need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

  • BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
  • One or more of the following required:
    • Licensed Emergency Medical Tech credentialed from the state of Wisconsin obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
    • Certified Medical Assistant credentialed from the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
    • Certified Nursing Assistant credentialed from the state of Wisconsin, and in Wisconsin Nurse Aide Registry with eligibility to work within a hospital setting.
    • Certified Home Health Aide credentialed from the state of Wisconsin.

Education:

  • High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
    • Note: Required professional licensure/certification can be used in lieu of education or experience, if applicable.
