Work Schedule

  • Business hours: Mondayโ€“Friday, 8:30 AM โ€“ 5:30 PM
  • Hybrid schedule (after 90 days), 3 days in office (Coral Gables) and 2 days remote.


What Youโ€™ll Do

  • Underwrite Florida Workersโ€™ Compensation risks (new and renewal business)
  • Deliver exceptional customer service to agents and policyholders
  • Review submissions for eligibility, class code accuracy, and risk acceptability
  • Gather missing information by proactively contacting agents
  • Review loss control inspections to determine risk acceptability
  • Prepare, complete, and send binding orders
  • Issue in-house binders for new and renewal business
  • Review binders and final policies for accuracy before release
  • Process endorsements, cancellations, and reinstatements in accordance with company guidelines
  • Maintain high productivity (50+ tasks daily) while ensuring accuracy and quality


What Weโ€™re Looking For

  • 4+ years of Workersโ€™ Compensation underwriting experience (Florida required)
  • Strong knowledge of Florida class codes and underwriting guidelines
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
  • Must be able to work within a team environment.
  • Must be able to work effectively and collaboratively with the agents and policyholders.
  • Strong organizational, oral, and written communication skills.
  • Ability to maintain a clean email inbox.
  • Ability to provide exceptional customer service.
  • Ability to respond within 24 hours to incoming submission requests
  • Ability to thrive in a high-volume, fast-paced environment
  • Strong attention to detail and time management skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Possesses technical problem-solving skills.
  • Experience in a paperless environment (required)
  • Bilingual (preferred but not required)
