Job description

) Weekend On Call Caregiver- Friday 5 PM to Monday 8 AM- $200/Weekend Plus hourly rate for shift coverage.
SUMMARY:
Caregivers assist agency clients with tasks of daily living as outlined in a written care plan established by the agency Care Manager. This may include the provision of hands-on personal care services as well as tasks generally considered to be companion or homemaker in nature, such as light housekeeping, meal preparation, shopping, errands, transportation and companionship.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
• 1,000 hours of long-term care with geriatric or chronically ill persons. This translates to approximately 6 months of full-time work or 12 months of part time work. Exceptions to this requirement are for recently licensed Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) or Home Health Aides (HHAs), or persons who will only be providing companionship and housekeeping services.
• CNA or HHA license preferred.
• Proof of current TB testing.
• Must be physically able to perform the duties of this position.
• Must have available reliable transportation; if transporting clients, must also have proof of a valid driver's license and automobile insurance.
• Must possess excellent communication skills.

• Pass a criminal background check (national and any required by state).
• Provide verifiable professional and personal references.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Understand a client's care plan and adequately implement it.
• Assist clients according to their care plan which may include: companionship, meal preparation and service, light housekeeping, transportation, shopping, medication reminders, bathing, body care, dressing, feeding, ambulation, positioning, transferring, toileting, and protective supervision.
• Notify the Care Manager of client concerns, changes in care or client condition and client emergencies.
• Notify the Care Manager and/or Staffing Coordinator of any safety concerns.
• Follow company Infection Control practices; notify the office if in need of appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) or supplies.
• Follow the ClearCare Telephony Instructions to clock in and clock out for all scheduled shifts and accurately update your task status for each client prior to clocking out and leaving the client's home. For compensable worked hours that are not allocated to a specific client (such as training time), you must use and submit the Time Log and Time Certification for Non-Visit Time form for each period pay period.
• Conform to the company dress code as specified in the Employee Handbook.
• Report to work on-time and ready for the day.
• Complete ongoing training as required by client care needs and/or changes in company policies and procedures.
• Attend staff meetings.
• Adhere to all company policies and procedures as detailed in the Employee Handbook.

• On-Call Hours: Friday at 5:00 PM through Monday at 8:00 AM
• Compensation: $200 per weekend + your hourly rate for any shifts worked
Weekend on-call expectations include:
• Keeping your phone on and responding promptly to calls or texts
• Being prepared to accept last-minute shifts, call-offs, or urgent coverage needs
• Arriving on time and ready to work if assigned to a shift
• Communicating immediately if an emergency arises that impacts your availability
• Must be available to respond to calls and cover urgent needs during this time frame
Please keep in mind that when you accept an on-call assignment, the expectation is that you are available and reachable for the full on-call period. This means that you cannot already be scheduled to work any shifts during the weekend in which you are signed up to be on-call.
This role is ideal for caregivers looking to earn extra income while supporting our clients and team during weekend hours.
ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIP: The caregiver is supervised by the Care Manager and receives scheduling direction from the Staffing Coordinator.
PHYSICAL AND ENVIROMENTAL DEMANDS: Reposition and transfer clients, sustain weight of clients using proper transfer safety techniques and equipment (example: use of transfer belt while assisting client to transfer from bed to chair), andtravel to client's residence place of residence using a reliable means of transportation.
