Job description

Position: WMi Techno-Functional Consultant (AS400 / iSeries)

Location: Springfield, MO

Duration: Long term Contract

Role Overview

We are looking for a WMi Techno-Functional Consultant with experience in Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), implementation support, system configuration, production support, and warehouse operations.

The ideal candidate will possess hands-on experience with WMi solutions along with exposure to AS400/iSeries environments. This role will work closely with business users, warehouse operations teams, and technical teams to support implementations, troubleshoot issues, coordinate testing activities, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

This is not a pure development role. We are seeking a techno-functional professional who can bridge business processes, system capabilities, integrations, and support activities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support implementation, enhancement, and production support activities for WMi solutions
  • Configure WMi modules based on business and operational requirements
  • Gather, analyze, and document warehouse management business requirements
  • Collaborate with warehouse operations, business stakeholders, and IT teams to design effective solutions
  • Troubleshoot application, interface, and operational issues across WMi environments
  • Support testing activities, including SIT, UAT, regression testing, and production validation
  • Monitor and resolve issues related to inventory, receiving, putaway, picking, packing, shipping, and replenishment processes
  • Support integrations between WMi and enterprise systems, including ERP, OMS, and AS400/iSeries platforms
  • Analyze data and interface issues to identify root causes and coordinate resolution
  • Create functional specifications, process documentation, and support documentation
  • Participate in go-live support, hypercare, and continuous improvement initiatives

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience working with Warehouse Management Systems
  • Hands-on experience with WMi (Warehouse Management intelligent)
  • Experience supporting WMS implementations, configurations, and production environments
  • Experience working with AS400 / iSeries environments
  • Strong understanding of warehouse and distribution center operations
  • Experience gathering and documenting business requirements
  • Strong troubleshooting and issue-resolution skills
  • Experience supporting integrations and interface-related activities
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Exposure to RPG, RPGLE, CL, or AS400-based support environments
  • Experience supporting warehouse system integrations with ERP, OMS, and supply chain applications
  • Experience working in retail, distribution, logistics, manufacturing, or eCommerce environments
  • Familiarity with SQL queries and data analysis
  • Experience supporting warehouse implementations, upgrades, or migrations
  • Experience with Agile or project-based delivery environments
