Job Summary Our Arts Education Coordinator serves as a program coordinator for Arts and Culture, utilizing knowledge of policies and procedures to implement arts education and programming. This position will be responsible for developing and coordinating diverse education programs for all ages as outlined in Loudoun County's Comprehensive Arts Plan (Loudoun.gov/arts) the PRCS Needs Assessment, PRCS Program Plan, and other supporting documents

This staff member would collaborate with artists, community partners, and PRCS staff to design curricula, manage program logistics, evaluate program effectiveness, and actively promote arts education throughout Loudoun County. We are currently hiring for the following location(s): PRCS, 742 Miller Drive, Leesburg, VAResponsibilities include, but are not limited to: Develop and implement an arts education plan to foster a lifelong appreciation for the arts and ensure inclusive access to creative opportunities. Oversee the hiring and management of part-time arts programming instructors Research and analyze complex information to inform arts education planning Collaborate with PRCS Programmers and appropriate staff, and other County departments to support arts programming, activities, and events.

Utilize RecTrac, programming software to plan and market programs. Collaborate with artists and arts organizations to bring more arts activities to Loudoun County residents and visitors of all ages. Support the operational needs of the arts education programming including procurement of needed arts supplies and equipment.

Oversees the procurement, inventory, and distribution of arts supplies, ensuring materials are available and ready for use. Collaborate with Loudoun County Public Schools, local colleges/universities, and other arts education stakeholders in the community. Support the administration of community arts grants as needed.

Stays informed about national, regional, and local arts agencies, programs, grants, networks, and relevant information to support arts education. May carry out additional critical job responsibilities pertinent to the specific role and departmental assignment. The position will require working during evenings, weekends, and holidays based on programming requirements.

Hiring salary commensurate with experience. Minimum Qualifications A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Arts, Arts Education, Liberal Arts, Education, Public Administration, Parks and Recreation) and one (1) year related work experience with some lead or supervisory experience preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Preferred Qualifications: Experience working in the arts

Experience with arts education. Experience working with teaching artists. Experience with event management.

Experience with public programming. Experience with parks and recreation. One plus years of local government or nonprofit art-specific experience.
