All applicants are expected to meet the California State Community College Minimum Qualifications for Journalism instructors. Meeting the minimum qualifications does not guarantee employment or an interview.NOTE: This position requires in-person instruction, which could occur on campus or as a part of the Rising Scholars Program at the California Institution for Men in Chino

Qualifications MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Master's in journalism or communication with a specialization in journalism; OR Bachelor's in either of the above; AND Master's in English, history, communication, literature, composition, comparative literature, any social science, business, business administration, marketing, graphics or photography; OR A valid lifetime credential that authorizes service as a journalism instructor in a California Community College; OR The equivalent; AND Demonstrated evidence of sensitivity to and understanding of the diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, disability, gender identity, sexual orientation and ethnic backgrounds in a community college environment. MEETING MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS DOES NOT ASSURE THE CANDIDATE OF AN INTERVIEW.
