The Pro Artistry Manager serves as a brand ambassador that elevates the customer's experience through expert artistry, education, content creation, and innovation. The Pro Artist Manager is responsible for elevating the JCPenney Beauty and Salon brand through impactful events, masterclasses, activations, and service experiences that inspire customers and build brand loyalty.
This role partners with internal teams, field leaders, and brand partners to deliver education, create engaging digital content, support marketing initiatives, and represent JCPenney Beauty and Salon at events nationwide.
The ideal candidate is a modern beauty professional who combines advanced artistry with exceptional education, strong business acumen, and compelling digital storytelling. They are equally comfortable leading a masterclass, hosting brand activation, creating social content, collaborating on marketing campaigns, or inspiring customers while thriving in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
Qualifications
  • 5+ years of professional beauty industry experience, including at least 2 years in education, training, or artistic leadership.
  • Expert-level makeup artistry across all skin tones, skin types, ages, and facial features with experience in beauty, bridal, editorial, runway, photography, and trend-focused artistry.
  • Professional portfolio showcasing technical expertise, creativity, and diverse artistry.
  • Effective communication, presentation, facilitation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Highly collaborative with the ability to influence cross-functional teams, field leaders, and brand partners.
  • Passion for beauty innovation, emerging trends, and customer experience.
  • Cosmotology Lisence required

Digital & Content Expertise
• Experienced creating engaging content across Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, and emerging platforms.
• Comfortable and confident on camera as an educator, presenter, and brand ambassador.
• Skilled in creating Reels, tutorials, educational videos, live demonstrations, product storytelling, and trend-focused
content.
• Proficient in capturing and editing high-quality photo and video content.
• Understands content strategy, audience engagement, and social media best practices.
Key Responsibilities
• Represent JCPenney Beauty as a brand ambassador through events, education, social media, PR, training, and
creative productions.
• Lead and execute elevated beauty experiences through masterclasses, events, store activations, and educational
programs.
• Deliver expert-level makeup education through masterclasses, Train-the-Trainer programs, live events, and digital
learning.
• Develop educational content and support product and service launches.
• Partner with merchandising, marketing, field leadership, and brand partners to execute beauty initiatives.
• Support a designated group of stores through education, events, and business-driving activities.
• Identify emerging beauty trends and translate them into customer experiences, services, and educational programs.
• Contribute to marketing campaigns, creative shoots, educational videos, and industry events.
• Foster collaboration, innovation, and professional excellence across teams.
