The Cook 1 prepares food items of consistent quality according to guest orders following recipe, as well as production, portion, and presentation standards; strong knowledge of health codes and full understanding of all knife cuts and animal breakdown. Complete mise en place and set-up station for lunch and/or dinner service; operates, upholds and properly cleans kitchen equipment while maintaining a safe, sanitary work environment. Label and date all food containers and rotates as per policies; check pars for shift use, determine necessary preparation, freezer pull and line set up; note any out-of-stock items or possible shortages; return all food items not used to designated storage areas.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
The qualified candidate will possess a passion for flawless service and the highest level of integrity and work ethic. The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of culinary experience and be able to work in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate must have solid F&B knowledge.
Qualifications include:
  • Specialized skill (oyster shucker, breakfast cook, etc.) with strong leadership qualities
