POSITION SUMMARY:

Under the direction of the Craft and Design Center Director (EPC) or Associate Program Director (SMR), Craft Shop Instructors will develop, implement, and oversee craft programs. This role will provide excellent customer service and engage with guests of all ages.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Teach arts and crafts to people of all ages and abilities in a safe environment.
  • Maintain inventory to ensure that each section has the necessary supplies.
  • Provide excellent customer service.
  • Predict, prevent, identify and respond to safety issues.
  • Communicate with all guests in a mature, responsible fashion
  • Use computer system to assist guests in purchasing crafts.
  • Assist in program development and advancement.
  • Must be able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Participate in daily cleaning of program buildings as assigned.
  • Work in other departments or program areas as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Experience with arts and crafts or background in Art Education.
  • Experience working with Children is preferred.
  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • Must be fluent in speaking English
  • Must enjoy working with people
  • Must possess current First Aid and CPR certification
