Job description

We run three distinct embroidery product lines—Anita Goodesign, Stephen Wilson Studio, and Wild Threads—and our creative production floor is the engine behind all of it. We’re looking for a Production Floor Manager who can keep that engine running at full speed whether the owner is in the building or not.

This is a hands-on leadership role. You’ll own the daily operation of our embroidery production team: quality, throughput, organization, supplies, and pipeline. You’ll be the person the team looks to for direction, standards, and accountability—and the person ownership trusts to keep things moving without needing to check in constantly.

If you thrive in a creative, craft-driven environment, love building systems that make teams more effective, and take genuine pride in a floor that’s organized, efficient, and producing beautiful work—read on.

What You’ll Own

Team Leadership

•      Supervise and develop a team of machine embroiderers across all three product lines

•      Set daily and weekly production priorities and ensure the team executes against them

•      Be present, engaged, and consistent—this role leads by example on the floor

•      Identify skill gaps and training opportunities within the team

Quality Control

•      Own the QC process for all stitch-outs and finished goods

•      Establish and enforce quality standards for each product line

•      Catch problems before they become waste—thread tension, alignment, density, trim

•      Maintain a QC log and surface recurring issues to ownership

Production Pipeline

•      Manage job queues and machine assignments to maximize throughput

•      Track project status across active jobs and report on pipeline health

•      Coordinate with design and photography teams on timing and handoffs

•      Anticipate bottlenecks before they happen and solve them proactively

Floor Operations

•      Keep the production floor organized, clean, and safe at all times

•      Own inventory management for all production supplies—thread, stabilizer, backing, blanks

•      Place supply orders on time so production never stops for a missing material

•      Maintain equipment logs and flag maintenance needs before they cause downtime

E-Commerce Support

•      Basic familiarity with Shopify and e-commerce workflows to support product fulfillment coordination

•      Understand how production output connects to online product availability

What We’re Looking For

Required

•      Proven experience managing a production team or creative manufacturing environment

•      Exceptional organizational skills—you love systems, checklists, and clean spaces

•      Experience with project or production management software (Asana strongly preferred)

•      Working knowledge of e-commerce platforms, particularly Shopify

•      A self-starter who creates structure and momentum without being managed

•      Ability to hold a team accountable with fairness and consistency

Preferred

•      Background in embroidery, apparel decoration, or textile production

•      Experience in a creative studio or branded product environment

•      Familiarity with embroidery machinery and stitch-out processes

•      Comfort working across multiple product lines or brands simultaneously

The Right Fit

You are not a clock-puncher. You’re someone who sees what needs to happen and makes it happen—without being asked twice. You care about the work, you care about the people doing it, and you hold a high bar for both. You bring energy to the floor and calm to problems.
