- Conduct a range of routine to complex clinical laboratory tests-including chemistry, hematology, immunology, and more-in accordance with established guidelines.
- Evaluate test results for precision, identify and resolve errors, and perform necessary maintenance and calibration on laboratory instruments.
- Support specimen collection efforts and prepare samples for further analysis as needed.
- Document all processes meticulously, mentor new staff or students, and ensure compliance with lab quality standards.
- Uphold a clean and secure laboratory environment while adhering to all regulatory and accreditation standards.
- Earned a Bachelor's degree in Clinical or Medical Laboratory Science, or hold an equivalent degree in allied health plus preparation for ASCP or AMT certification.
- ASCP or AMT Board of Certification in Clinical Laboratory Science (CLS) must be obtained within one year of hire.
- Keep certification current throughout your tenure.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills for effective teamwork with healthcare professionals.
