Description
At St. John Vianney Catholic School, Christ stands as the heart of our program which proposes an integral human formation in theological, moral, and intellectual virtue for its students.
Under the supervision of the Principal, the selected candidate is responsible for playing a key role in fulfillment of St. John Vianney Catholic School's mission of Catholic education by teaching Art classes at St. John Vianney Catholic School on a part-time basis for the academic year 2026-2027.
The Art Teacher will teach across grade levels, inspiring students with a love of the beautiful and a knowledge of art history. In addition to emphasizing the beauty of God's creation and its imitation through art, the Art Teacher will also impart an excellent training in the skills of the fine artist, in imitation of a selection of master artists.
Requirements
The ideal candidate is dedicated to the mission of Catholic education and lives and teaches in a way that is faithful to the Magisterium of the Catholic Church.
Education and Experience
Bachelor's degree in music, art, education, or a related field, an active Tennessee teaching license and/or Catholic educator credential, and 1+ years of prior teaching experience are strongly preferred.
