In this role, you will concept and art direct work that spans digital, social, film, experiential, and out-of-home channels, helping shape how billions of people perceive and connect with Meta's brands. You will collaborate closely with copywriters, designers, strategists, and producers to bring bold creative ideas to life at scale.
Art Director Responsibilities:
  • Art directors direct, design and concept brand expressions across a variety of mediums, including mobile, product, film, interactive, OOH, print, events, and experiential, etc
  • Demonstrate an understanding of how art direction, design, and conceptual ideas can be used to tell a story on behalf of a brand and within a product
  • Present ideas in a clear and focused way that builds consensus and alignment with stakeholders across teams
  • Work collaboratively within a cross-functional team environment, partnering with producers, copywriters, marketers and program management to reach campaign goals
  • Explore and propose new creative formats to produce high-impact, memorable creative work
  • Deliver mixed creative assets including stills, animation and live action video art direction
  • Create original, breakthrough work

Minimum Qualifications:
  • 1+ years of experience in art direction, design, or a related creative discipline
  • Experience problem-solving in fast-paced environments and navigating ambiguity
  • Can design, art direct and articulate conceptual design decisions
  • Able to bring ideas to life with high-quality comps and prototypes using creative software and other tools (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Figma, Sketch, Keynote, etc.)
  • Knowledge and use of various AI tool capabilities and limitations in the context of art direction and design, demonstrated through professional or self-directed experience
  • Experience actively seeking out new AI knowledge and skills, understanding of how AI is reshaping creative work and experimenting with emerging AI technologies, and applies it to active creative workflows
  • Demonstrated judgment in using AI in creative work, including knowing when to use it, when to rely on traditional tools, and how to edit and refine AI-assisted work to reach a high-quality final output
  • Detail-focused with an eye for visual craft
  • Must obtain work authorization in country of employment at the time of hire, and maintain ongoing work authorization during employment

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience art directing campaigns for consumer technology, hardware, or social media platforms
  • Familiarity with motion design, video production, or directing live-action or animated content
  • Demonstrated use of AI-assisted creative tools (e.g., generative image tools, prompt engineering) to enhance or accelerate creative workflows
  • Experience adhering to and implementing responsible, ethical AI practices (e.g., risk assessment, bias mitigation, quality and accuracy reviews)
  • Demonstrated ability to integrate AI tools to optimize/redesign workflows and drive measurable impact (e.g., efficiency gains, quality improvements)
  • Experience working within and contributing to large-scale brand design systems across a global product portfolio
  • Demonstrated ongoing AI skill development (e.g., prompt/context engineering, agent orchestration) and staying current with emerging AI technologies
