Job description

The James and Gail Ellis School of Business Leadership (formerly Anderson School of Management) at The University of New Mexico (UNM) is looking for a highly organized, and detail-oriented individual to join our growing Business Operations team as a Fiscal Services Tech. Reporting directly to our Operations Manager, the Fiscal Services Tech will track, reconcile, and provide reporting for revenue and expenses for several accounts and indices related to special projects and initiatives with the college.

The successful candidate will thrive in a highly structured, detail-oriented role that involves performing routine tasks with accuracy and consistency. Specific duties will include:

  • Enter data for expense encumbrances into associated Smartsheet tracking systems.
  • Pull financial reports from the UNM Finance System (Banner 9) and reconcile actual expense and revenue data in Smartsheet.
  • Answer inquiries related to available balances and use for particular indices.
  • Provide reports regarding financial activities by index and/or project.
  • Audit monthly p-card transactions against detail originally submitted/approved.
  • Performing miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
