Fort Bragg, NC

Summary:
ATS is looking for a qualifiedService Support Subject Matter Expert for Mission Command Exercises to support the Special Operations Mission Training Center Facilityat Fort Bragg, NC.

Job Duties:

  • Serve as the Service Support Subject Matter Expert (SME) for SOF Mission Command Exercises (MCX/MRX), integrating sustainment, logistics, personnel services, medical, and resource management functions into the SOMTC training environment.
  • Develop and incorporate realistic service support scenarios into exercise design, ensuring sustainment planning, distribution operations, maintenance, contracting, and force health protection challenges are replicated at the battalion through SOJTF level.
  • Synchronize service support warfighting functions with operations and intelligence elements, enabling mission command processes that reflect real-world SOF sustainment constraints and operational requirements.
  • Support planning, preparation, execution, and assessment of Mission Command Exercises, contributing to scenario injects, command post operations, and After Action Reviews (AARs) focused on sustainment effectiveness and operational reach.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Minimum Education Requirement: Associate degree. Five years of related military experience may substitute for academic degrees. Or two years of experience researching, planning, preparing, coordinating, and executing Mission Command Exercises may substitute for academic degree.
  • Special Skills/Qualifications Required: Graduate of a U.S. Military Officers Education System course above entry level training i.e., Captain Career Course, Intermediate Level Education, Basic Warrant Officer Course, Warrant Officer Advance Course, or equivalent. Or graduate from one of the following U.S. military Noncommissioned Officer Education System courses: Advanced Noncommissioned Officer Course, First Sergeant Course or Sergeants Major Course. Has ability to formulate and integrate exercise scenarios into the SOMTC training environment or exercise.
  • Minimal Background/Experience Required: Assignment to Special Operations Forces (Special Forces, Military Information Support Operations, Civil Affairs, Ranger Regiment, Special Operations Aviation, Special Mission units), or assignment to one of the following: Military Intelligence, Logistics Corps, Field Artillery. (Equivalent assignments within other Department of War military branches apply).

One year of experience researching, planning, preparing, coordinating, and executing Mission Command Exercises.
