Position Description:
The Project Manager is a key member of the BAE Systems OneArc programs team, responsible for delivering advanced synthetic training and simulation solutions to support the U.S. Army's mission. The Project Manager oversees the direction, execution, and delivery of programs that enhance warfighter readiness through "commercial speed at industrial scale." Acting as the primary liaison for U.S. Army customers and prime contractors, the Project Manager applies project management best practices to ensure OneArc's VBS-based ecosystems and simulation technologies meet critical contract performance goals.
Responsibilities:
  • Manage the execution of complex DoD contract requirements, ensuring cost, schedule, and performance objectives are achieved.
  • Serve as the primary interface with U.S. Army customers and stakeholders, resolving contractual and program challenges.
  • Implement agile project management processes to guide the software development lifecycle, from requirements gathering to delivery.
  • Manage contract budgets (labor, material, travel, purchased services) and reporting for various contract types (FFP, T&M, Cost-type).
  • Ensure project compliance with federal acquisition regulations (FAR), export control (ITAR), and internal BAE Systems OneArc quality standards.
  • Provide leadership to cross-functional teams, resolving dependencies, clarifying technical requirements, and fostering collaboration.
  • Formally identify, assess, monitor, and mitigate risk throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Communicate program status and risks to executive leadership.

Objectives:
  • Advance the U.S. Army's Synthetic Training Environment (STE) through the effective deployment of OneArc solutions.
  • Ensure excellence in program performance, driving customer satisfaction and long-term readiness.
  • Strengthen OneArc's PMO by promoting consistency in project management processes and agile methodologies.

Education & Skills:
Required:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Project Management, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in project management within the Defense/Aerospace industry.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Security Clearance.
  • Experience managing various contract types (Firm Fixed Price, Time & Materials, Cost-Plus).
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with diverse stakeholders.
  • Experience with System and Software engineering lifecycles.
  • Proficiency in project planning tools (e.g., Microsoft Project) and agile management tools (e.g., Jira).

Desired:
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
  • Familiarity with U.S. Army acquisition approaches and the STE framework.
  • Experience with ITAR/Export regulations.
  • Experience with software product development and simulation technologies.
