Overview
QBE, LLC is seeking a Computer Security Systems Specialist to support the US Army Comprehensive Modernization (COMPMOD) program. The program delivers end-to-end EFIS&T services, including survey and design through installation, security, and testing. This work spans NIPR and SIPR networks, Wi-Fi, VoIP, ISP/OSP infrastructure, and voice modernization across all CONUS Army installations.
We're looking for a Computer Security Systems Specialist to design, document, and implement cybersecurity controls for Army enterprise networks. You'll ensure systems are engineered and configured to meet DoD, Army, and DISA security requirements, and you'll support fielded systems through assessment, approval, and operational deployment. You'll work closely with engineering teams, program leadership, and cybersecurity authorities to deliver secure, compliant systems ready for operational use.

Responsibilities
  • Design and plan security measures to protect systems and networks in accordance with DISA STIGs/SRGs, IAVAs, and DoDI 8100.04
  • Research, maintain, and manage cybersecurity artifacts, including:
    • STIG checklists
    • Approved operating system versions
    • POA&Ms
    • Hardware and software inventories
    • Test, training, implementation, and transition/migration plans
    • Installation team checklists
  • Align security controls with NIST 800-53 and CIS Benchmarks
  • Provide required cybersecurity artifacts to the GENM-A ISSM for review and approval
  • Develop and deliver system and network diagrams (topology, physical, logical, data flow) in support of CDRL requirements
  • Support vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, and implementation of IDS/IPS solutions
  • Configure and validate security controls, including firewall rules and access control lists

Requirements
Required Experience/Qualifications
  • BA/BS degree (or additional 4+ years of relevant experience can be substituted in lieu of bachelor's degree)
  • 5+ years of relevant experience (e.g., cybersecurity or information assurance experience)
  • Ability to commute to the required onsite work location daily.

Special Requirements/Security Clearance
  • Active TS/SCI at the time of application
  • Up to 50-75% travel required, including multi-week TDY assignments.
  • Availability during defined cutover windows (e.g. weekend and nights)

Preferred Experience/Qualifications
  • Meets DoD 8570 IAT Level III certification requirements
  • Certifications and/or experience in Zero Trust architectures

Physical Demands
  • Ability to lift up to 30 lbs
