Position Purpose Summary:


The Senior Field Specialist, Managed Services supports and manages IT infrastructure and end-user systems across The Salvation Army (TSA) locations, ensuring availability, performance, and security. The role involves hands-on technical support, system upgrades, and collaboration with stakeholders to align IT solutions with organizational goals. This role is a critical part of the MIT team, which is focused on empowering TSA by saving frontline teams time and enhancing the quality of service through smart, reliable technology.

This is a temporary, fixed-term 12-month contract position.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Provide direction and oversight to all IT (Information Technology) operations, network security and Communications systems for multiple TSA locations in GTA area

  • Support the technology operations and the implementation of new IT systems, network, and policies in accordance with The Salvation Army standards

  • Inspect and identify the use of technological equipment and software to ensure functionality and efficiency. This includes determining an appropriate course of action from initial hardware assessment to recommending the need for upgrades, configurations, repairs, or purchase of new systems/equipment when appropriate

  • Manage and support all network connected systems for the multiple sites (that may include all Security and Door Controls)

  • Respond and resolve requests related to technical or non-technical issues on a timely manner, adhering to TSA incident management process and policies

  • Provide training on information technologies, including but not limited to Office 365, mobile devices, and other technical equipment.

Education, Qualifications, and Experience:

  • Completion of a diploma or university degree in computer science, engineering or relevant field

  • Minimum five (5) years of experience in implementation and support of IT systems

  • Must possess a valid driver's license, vehicle and have a clean driving record

  • The ability and willingness to drive to the sites in the GTA

  • Sound understanding of computer systems (hardware/software), networks etc.

  • Strong sense of integrity with professional ethics

  • Able to proactively recognize potential risks and issues, respond with solutions and engage others in implementing change

Compensation:

The target hiring range for this position is $70,241.60 to $87,796.80 with a maximum of $105,372.80.

Placement in the salary range will be based on factors such as market conditions, internal equity, and candidate experience, skills, and qualifications relevant to the role.
