At Galloway, you're not just building communities — you're building a fulfilling career.

About the Role

As a Civil CAD Technician, you will work closely with engineers to support the planning and design of civil infrastructure, including site layouts, grading, utility systems, and stormwater management. Your work will play a vital role in preparing construction documents and supporting the permitting process for projects across the public and private sectors—ranging from subdivisions and commercial sites to multifamily developments and public works.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with engineers on the preliminary layout of sites, grading plans, and water, wastewater, and storm sewer systems.
  • Draft improvement plans, supporting documentation, and permit application materials using AutoCAD and Civil 3D.
  • Assist in preparing plans and specifications for a variety of developments and infrastructure projects.
  • Produce accurate and well-organized drafting for boundary and topographic surveys, pipe networks, parcels, and subdivision layouts.
  • Understand and work efficiently within project schedules and budgets, keeping deadlines and deliverables on track.
  • Apply a foundational understanding of civil engineering principles and the permitting process to help ensure successful project delivery.
  • Use MS Office Suite for documentation, coordination, and internal communication.

Starting hourly range is $22.00 – $30.00/hour
