Job description

AWS Department of War is seeking a Senior Account Executive to manage strategic relationships with U.S. Army tactical and expeditionary organizations, with primary focus on XVIII Airborne Corps and U.S. Army Europe and Africa (USAREUR-AF). This role requires someone who can think strategically about how cloud computing, edge infrastructure, and AI/ML can directly impact the warfighter - from garrison planning environments to forward-deployed tactical operations.
The ideal candidate will build executive-level relationships with senior military leaders, develop account strategies aligned to Army modernization priorities, and drive AWS adoption across complex mission environments spanning multiple geographic combatant commands. This position requires both CONUS and OCONUS travel to military installations in the United States and Europe.
This position requires that the candidate selected be a US Citizen and obtain and maintain an active TS/SCI security clearance.
Key job responsibilities
Serve as the primary Account Executive for U.S. Army tactical and expeditionary accounts, with dedicated focus on XVIII Airborne Corps, V Corps, and U.S. Army Europe and Africa (USAREUR-AF)
Build and maintain executive-level relationships with Generals, General Officers, senior G-staff (G3, G6), and civilian decision-makers across assigned accounts
Develop and execute strategic account plans that position AWS cloud services to enhance warfighter readiness, lethality, and operational agility
Think strategically about how cloud computing, edge infrastructure, and AI/ML capabilities can transform Army operations in contested and austere environments
Drive revenue growth by identifying, developing, and closing opportunities across commercial cloud, tactical edge, and emerging mission use cases
Navigate complex DoW acquisition processes including OTAs, agile acquisition pathways, and coordination with the Enterprise Cloud Management Agency (ECMA)
Orchestrate cross-functional AWS teams - Solutions Architects, Professional Services, Partners, and Government Regions - to deliver integrated solutions aligned to Army modernization priorities and create new capabilities for the warfighter
Translate operational requirements from the field into AWS product and service roadmap inputs, serving as the voice of the tactical customer internally
Coordinate with defense industry partners to develop joint solutions that address Army modernization priorities
