Job description

Job Title: Armed Armored Car Guard & Driver
Location: Jamaica, Queens
Job Type: Full-Time
Schedule: 8-hour, 10-hour, 12-hour shifts; weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed

Ferrari Group is a global leader in the secure shipment of luxury goods, specializing in the transportation of jewelry and high-value merchandise. Our U.S. operation, Ferrari Express Inc., delivers expert logistics solutions supported by high-level security services across the country. We are currently seeking qualified Armed Armored Car Guards & Drivers for our Lawrence, NY operation.


Position Summary

This role is responsible for the safe, secure, and timely transport of high-value shipments while adhering to all regulatory, procedural, and safety protocols. Armed Guards operate in a high-security, high-responsibility environment and must maintain constant vigilance, professionalism, and control during all transport activities.


Key Responsibilities
  • Operate armored vehicles and ensure the secure transportation of valuable cargo.

  • Follow all assigned routes and schedules while adhering to company security procedures.

  • Perform vehicle inspections before and after each shift.

  • Maintain accurate chain-of-custody documentation, manifests, and delivery records.

  • Load and unload shipments using best security practices.

  • Communicate with dispatch, clients, and team members via secure channels.

  • Respond to emergency situations and potential threats in line with company protocol.

  • Comply with New York State armed guard regulations and all internal policies.


Minimum Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED.

  • Valid New York State Driverโ€™s License with a clean record (minimum of 3 years).

  • New York State Security Guard License (Required).

  • 47-hour firearms training certificate issued by a certified New York State training school (Required).

  • Armored Car Guard License

  • Valid Medical Examinerโ€™s Certificate for DOT compliance or willingness to obtain.

  • Strong communication, observation, and decision-making skills.

  • Ability to lift up to 70 lbs. and safely operate hand trucks or dollies.

  • Willingness to work flexible schedules including weekends, holidays, and overtime.

  • Ability to pass a background check, drug screening, and firearm qualification.


Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in armored car operations, military, law enforcement, or armed security.

  • Familiarity with logistics, transportation routes, and security technology (radios, GPS, tracking devices).

  • Knowledge of NYS laws related to firearms and private security.
