Summary

Join Chenega & the Secret Service as an Armed Security Officer and play a critical role in protecting federal facilities, personnel, and assets. Based in a dynamic security environment, you'll serve on the front lines of safety and emergency response while working alongside government partners in a mission-driven role that offers purpose, responsibility, and professional growth.


Responsibilities
  • Protect federal personnel, facilities, property, and equipment through armed security operations, access control, patrols, inspections, and security screening activities.
  • Respond to emergencies, enforce applicable laws and regulations, conduct investigations, and perform detention and transportation duties when required.
  • Maintain a professional security presence by interacting with employees, visitors, government personnel, and the public while providing exceptional customer service.
  • Follow all security procedures, safety standards, post orders, and operational requirements, including maintaining assigned equipment, weapons, and readiness for flexible schedules, weekends, and holidays.
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications: 

  • High school diploma or GED and a minimum age of 21 years.
  • At least three years of experience in law enforcement, military police, government security, or civilian security operations; or graduation from a recognized law enforcement or physical security academy.
  • Minimum of one year of specialized experience in physical security or law enforcement.
  • Valid state driver's license
  • Successfully pass background and drug screening

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previously commissioned law enforcement officer with experience in federal, state, local, or military environments.
  • Graduate of a federal, state, local, or military law enforcement or physical security training academy.
  • Experience supporting security operations within government facilities or high-security environments.
