Job Description

As a Security Officer Armed Patrol in Atlanta, GA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Security Officer supporting a government health location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and respond to security-related concerns with professionalism. This driving post requires a valid driver's license. You will provide exceptional customer service and clear communication while representing Allied Universal's agile, reliable, innovative, caring, team-oriented, and integrity-driven culture.

Tue 08:00 AM - 05:00 PM

Wed 08:00 AM - 05:00 PM

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and members of the public while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at a government health services location.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, including contacting appropriate emergency personnel and/or site representatives as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols of buildings, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
  • Monitor access points, verify authorized entry, and assist with visitor direction and facility access procedures in accordance with site requirements.
  • Prepare clear, accurate reports and maintain required activity logs for incidents, patrols, observations, and other security-related events.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A valid driver's license is required in the state where the job is located.
  • Be a graduate of a law enforcement or military police training program or equivalent.
  • Have at least 1 year of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience.
  • Possess a DD214 with an honorable discharge, an associate degree, 60 college credits, a police academy certificate, or a corrections academy certificate.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
