As a Security Guard Armed - Hospital Access in Columbia, SC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an Armed Security Officer in a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and support a welcoming environment for patients, visitors, and staff. Pay Rate: $18.78 / Hour

Job Schedule:

Day Time

Monday 06:00 AM - 02:00 PM

Friday 06:00 AM - 02:00 PM

Saturday 06:00 AM - 02:00 PM

Sunday 06:00 AM - 02:00 PM

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and/or staff while carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and emergency response activities.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols of healthcare facilities, parking areas, and surrounding perimeters to help deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, requesting additional assistance as appropriate.
  • Control access to restricted areas and verify credentials in accordance with location-specific procedures.
  • Prepare clear, timely reports of incidents, observations, and patrol activities, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and/or location representatives.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A valid driver's license is required in the state where the job is located.
  • Have at least 1 year of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience.
  • Possess an armed guard card or license.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
