As of Jul 16, 2026, the average weekly pay for armed cdl driver in the United States is $1,406.67, according to ZipRecruiter salary data. Most workers in this role earn between $1,153.85 and $1,663.46 per week, depending on experience, location, and employer.

What company in Texas is paying truckers $14000 a week?

Some trucking companies or owner-operators may offer high weekly earnings for experienced CDL drivers, especially those with specialized skills such as hazmat or oversized load transport. However, earning $14,000 a week is uncommon and typically involves high-volume freight, long hours, or owner-operator status with significant expenses. Most CDL driver salaries are lower, and such high earnings are often associated with independent contractors or specific niche markets.

How to get a job as an armored truck driver?

To become an armored truck driver, you typically need a valid commercial driver's license (CDL), a clean driving record, and a background check. Employers often require security training and may prefer candidates with experience in driving large vehicles or working in security environments.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive in the Armed Cdl Driver position, and why are they important?

To thrive as an Armed CDL Driver, you need a valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL), proven safe driving experience, and current armed security certification or licensure. Familiarity with vehicle safety systems, federal transportation regulations, firearms handling, and secure cargo transport procedures is essential. Strong situational awareness, professionalism, and excellent customer service skills help drivers excel in high-stress or sensitive situations. These skills ensure the safe transportation of valuable goods, compliance with legal standards, and the ability to respond appropriately to potential security threats.

What is the highest paying CDL driving job?

The highest paying CDL driving jobs are often in specialized sectors such as hazardous materials (hazmat) or oversize/overweight load transport, which require additional certifications and skills. Owner-operator positions and long-haul trucking with dedicated routes typically offer higher earnings compared to local or regional driving jobs.

What is an Armed CDL Driver job?

An Armed CDL Driver is a commercial driver licensed (CDL) professional responsible for transporting valuable goods while carrying a firearm for security purposes. These drivers typically work for armored transport companies, banks, or secure cash transport services. Their duties include safely loading, transporting, and unloading valuables while adhering to security protocols and legal firearm regulations. They must have a clean driving record, security training, and sometimes law enforcement or military experience.

What types of assignments or routes can an Armed CDL Driver typically expect?

As an Armed CDL Driver, you may be assigned to routes that involve transporting valuables such as cash, precious metals, or sensitive documents between banks, businesses, and secure facilities. Your work may include both local and regional routes, often with specific security protocols and time-sensitive schedules. The position typically involves working alongside a team or with a security partner to ensure safety during pick-ups and deliveries. Most employers provide detailed training on route procedures, safety measures, and client interactions to prepare you for a variety of scenarios. The structure of the job helps maintain a high level of security while also offering variety in daily responsibilities.

What jobs make $3,000 a month without a degree?

An armed CDL driver can earn around $3,000 or more per month, especially with experience, overtime, and specialized freight routes. Other jobs include commercial truck drivers, sales representatives, and certain skilled trades like HVAC or plumbing, which often require certifications but not a college degree. These roles typically involve on-the-job training or licensing requirements.
