Summary of Job Duties:
This position is for Central Arkansas Outpatient Primary Care Clinics (M-F).
The Clinical Services Manager (CSM) plays a vital role in the UAMS Family Medical Clinics above. Their primary responsibility is to oversee the daily operations of the nursing department and ensure that all essential functions are running smoothly. This includes staffing, development, budgeting, patient satisfaction, professional growth, and quality outcomes. The CSM will also collaborate with the Medical Director, Residency Director, physicians, and leadership within the organization to ensure that quality patient care and exceptional customer service are delivered while adhering to regulations and requirements set by UAMS, insurance companies, government agencies, and internal goals/strategies.
Clinical Service Managers (CSMs) are responsible for implementing the organizational vision, mission, philosophy, core values, evidence-based practices, and standards, as well as nursing support services in their areas of responsibility. The CSM practices in accordance with the scope and standards of practice of the UAMS, the American Nurses Association, and the Nursing Social Policy Statement.
Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree
  • Five (5) or more years of clinical experience in the field of Nursing
  • At least three (3) years of experience in a leadership capacity
  • Current Registered Nurse License in the State of Arkansas.
  • Current BLS certification or must successfully obtain certification within the first 30 days of employment.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) degree
  • Two Years of Pediatric Experience
  • Ambulatory clinic experience
  • National Nursing Certification

  • Contributes to the development of the nursing department by staying updated on industry trends, best practices, and advancements in healthcare.

  • Responsible for developing and managing the nursing department's budget.
  • Collaborate with leadership to identify cost-saving opportunities while maintaining adequate staffing levels and ensuring the highest quality patient care.
  • Continuously monitors patient satisfaction levels and works to address any concerns or issues promptly.
  • Actively engage with patients, their families, and healthcare providers to gather feedback, identify areas of improvement, and implement strategies to enhance the overall patient experience.
  • Fosters a culture of continuous learning and professional development within the nursing department.
  • Mentor and guide individual staff members, conduct performance evaluations, and assist with career advancement opportunities.
  • Promote a culture of teamwork, collaboration, and open communication among nursing staff.
  • Responsible for monitoring and maintaining the highest level of quality in the nursing department. Collaborate with the Medical Director, Residency Director, and other leadership to establish quality metrics, measure performance, and identify areas for improvement.
  • Ensure that nursing practices adhere to UAMS, regulatory, and internal standards, and that patient outcomes are consistently exceptional.
  • Serves as a liaison between the nursing department and other departments within the organization, including the Medical Director, Residency Director, physicians, and leadership.
  • Facilitate effective communication, coordinate efforts, and ensure that nursing department activities are aligned with the overall goals and objectives of the organization.
  • Ensures that all regulations and requirements set by UAMS, insurance companies, government agencies, and internal goals/strategies are adhered to.
  • May perform other duties as assigned.
