Network Engineer - IPv6 Design & Deployment , Cisco, Arista Network Cloud Platforms 12+ Mths Cont Alpharetta, GA 
Position Summary
We are looking for a Network Engineer with a strong focus on IPv6 design and deployment to join our Global Network Architecture team. This individual will help lead our organizations first IPv6 proof of concept (PoC) and drive its integration into the production environment. The ideal candidate will bring deep technical expertise in IPv6, hands-on experience with Cisco platforms (NXOS, IOSXE, IOSXR), Arista, public cloud networking, and the ability to collaborate across engineering teams to ensure a smooth and successful rollout.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the design, planning, and implementation of the firms first IPv6 proof of concept into production.
Define and document IPv6 addressing strategies, routing protocols, and transition techniques.
?Work closely with cross-functional teams (security, cloud, platform testing) to validate IPv6 design decisions and ensure operational readiness.
Provide subject matter expertise on IPv6 across the enterprise network and public cloud environments.
Configure, test, and troubleshoot Cisco and Arista network infrastructure for IPv6 functionality.
Develop runbooks, standard operating procedures, and training materials for socialization and team
readiness.
Ensure IPv6 solutions meet performance, scalability, and security requirements.?Stay current on IPv6 standards, best practices, and industry adoption trends.
Act as a technical leader, mentoring other engineers and serving as a trusted advisor to stakeholders.
Qualifications Require
5-6 years experience in network engineering with a strong background in routing/switching
Proven experience in IPv6 design, deployment, and troubleshooting.
Hands-on expertise with Cisco IOSXE/NX-OS/IOSXR and Arista EOS platforms.
Strong understanding of routing protocols (MP-BGP, OSPFv3, VXLAN EVPN) and IPv6 transition technologies (dual-stack, tunneling, NAT64).
?Experience with public cloud networking (AWS, Azure, or GCP), including IPv6 services in cloud
Strong communication and documentation skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Ability to lead projects and drive technical initiatives with minimal oversight.
Preferred Experience in large-scale financial enterprise or service provider networks.
Familiarity with network automation frameworks (Python, Ansible, Terraform).
Knowledge of IPv6-related security considerations and best practices.
