Job description

Description

  • Conducts site prep including assembly, painting, kitting, labeling and color coding
  • Conducts equipment inspections and completes proper documentation. Identifies unserviceable equipment and reports this to the foreman
  • Ability to read and understand construction drawings and RF design
  • Installs, replaces, and troubleshoots wireless equipment based on direction
  • Assists with rigging tower as needed
  • Performs equipment testing such as sweeps, fiber optic, electrical and Passive Intermodulation (PIM) testing under supervision
  • Properly operates equipment such as Capstan hoist, Ariel lifts, etc.
  • Maintains a clean and safe work environment. Follows all safety policies and procedures
Qualifications

  • Should have at least 2 years of experience climbing towers
  • Verifiable work experience and references
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Must be able to communicate and understand verbal instructions in English
  • Knowledge and proper use of various hand tools and power tools
  • Willing to travel and work long hours/weekends/overnights as needed
  • Knowledge in operating test equipment such as Passive Intermodulation (PIM) gear, Anritsu Site master and Fiber Test gear
  • Microsoft Office computer skills a plus
  • Must pass a background check, drug test, and motor vehicle check
  • NWSA TTT1 preferred, but not required

  • Must possess the following:
  • Climbing/rescue certification
  • First Aid/CPR certification
  • RF Awareness training
  • OSHA 10
Physical/Work Requirements

  • Employee will regularly climb a vertical structure as needed, typically between 100 and 300 feet, but could be up to or over 500 feet above ground level
  • Employee will regularly lift and carry over 80 pounds
  • Employee will be required to work overhead
  • Employee will regularly twist, bend, stand, crawl, or kneel to perform job
  • Employee will periodically hand dig trenches
  • Work environment is primarily outside and as such presents varying, sometimes extreme, weather conditions
