Job description

Argus Medical Management is a physician practice management company that has served physician communities in the greater Long Beach, Los Angeles, Orange County, and Inland Empire areas for 30+ years. Argus Medical provides comprehensive billing and managements services which include contracting, credentialing, HR services, accounting, etc. to support Physicians in private practice.

We are currently looking to hire a Medical Assistant Combo in the city of Downey, CA. Experience in Pain Management preferred.

Job Type: Full-Time, Direct Hire

Pay: $23-24 per hour

Hours: Mon-Fri, 8:00 am-5:00 pm

Job Duties

The Medical Assistant Combo is responsible for providing both front and back office support to ensure efficient clinic operations and exceptional patient care. Responsibilities include greeting and assisting patients and visitors in person and over the phone, scheduling appointments to maximize provider efficiency, managing exam room flow, verifying insurance eligibility and benefits, and preparing required documentation prior to appointments. The Medical Assistant maintains patient confidentiality while fostering a safe, welcoming environment. Clinical duties include rooming patients, obtaining and documenting vital signs, reviewing and updating medical histories, administering injections, performing phlebotomy as needed, assisting providers during examinations and procedures, and supporting the delivery of quality patient care. Additional duties may be assigned to meet the needs of the practice.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Bilingual Spanish, required
  • At least 2 years' experience in front and back office, required
  • MA Certified
  • CPR Certified
