Position Summary

The Partnership Activation Account Manager will work on partnership activation initiatives for Mullett Arena for OVG's Global Partnerships division; the sponsorship and marketing arm of Oak View Group (OVG).  Suitable for the role are commercially aggressive professionals who have a track record in the sponsorship space of working on the delivery and execution of high value deals with creative activation strategies intertwined. This individual will oversee all aspects associated with the implementation, activation, reporting and delivery of assigned partnership accounts and is responsible for the day-to-day management and execution of partnership elements, maintaining a deep understanding of each partners' marketing goals and business objectives as they evolve over the life of the partnership.

This role pays an annual salary of $50,000-$55,000 and is bonus eligible

About the Venue

Mullett Arena at Arizona State University is a 5,000 seat multi-use family, sport and entertainment facility that serves as home to Arizona State Sun Devil Hockey,  Sun Devil Olympic sports programs, as well as Valley Suns G League basketball.   

Responsibilities

Essential Duties:

  • Manage a portfolio of sponsorship accounts including the planning and execution of sponsors' contractual elements, including but not limited to traditional media assets, in-market promotions, in-arena activation, hospitality, experiential, and community programs
  • Develop and deliver effective and measurable sponsorship platforms for sponsors by managing expectations, communicating timelines, and ensuring contractual asset fulfillment
  • Use variety of methods and resources to creatively engage with, and enhance partner relationships, using industry knowledge and brand awareness to overcome challenges, create business opportunities, and exceed company objectives
  • Collaborate with Senior Manager to develop a template and plan per sponsor to demonstrate ROI and ROO of marketing partnership initiatives and oversee development of mid-year and year-end partnership recaps and case studies.
  • Collaborate with internal (arena operations, legal, finance, etc.) and external (Signage Vendors, Arena Tenants, etc.) stakeholders on partnership initiatives and needs
  • Manage internal and external partner expectations on processes, timelines, approvals, and deadlines
  • Contribute to overall department revenue goals through current sponsor partnership renewals and upselling opportunities
  • Serve as on-site, point-of-contact for all activations taking place within Mullett Arena and around the perimeter of the venue in conjunction with arena events
  • Regularly conduct market research to keep current with partner news, best practices, industry trends and activation concepts
  • Work with business development team on key category and platform ideation for prospects
  • Maintain accurate reporting processes, CRM database (Salesforce/KORE), procedures and partner database management
  • Oversee proof of performance tracking datasheets for social, digital, and event attendance performance.
  • Provide high level, weekly status report outlining partner related and department administrative action items to Senior Manager
  • Assist with the planning and execution of partnership-related events throughout the year
  • Assist with OVG's broader national portfolio of venues
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned
Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required (preferably in Marketing or Sports Management).
  • 3-5 years of professional sponsorship experience in a high-performance sponsorship environment, executing against multiple deals across multiple properties (likely Agency or alternative sports entity/rights holder).

  • Ability to establish and maintain strong working relationships with corporate clients and co-worker.
  • Creative Problem Solver with the ability to quickly understand brands/partners' business models and how to grow their business.

  • An excellent communicator and accomplished presenter.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Salesforce and KORE. Canva experience is a plus.

Hours of Work and Travel Requirements:

  • Travel Requirements: Light Traveler (<30% travel): Will be required to travel. Trips may require air travel and/or overnight stay away from home for one or more nights.
  • Work hours may vary - The role is expected to attend games and other events depending on the client they service, which may include evenings, weekends and/or holidays as required.
