Position Summary
We are our hiring our Laborer - Overnight Conversion Crew. The Laborer - Overnight Conversion Crew is responsible for Operating and converting UBS Arena from event to event. You will be working to reconfigure the arena, it's floor and concourses based on the specific needs of each event at UBS Arena.
This role will pay an hourly rate of $23.75 (per CBA)
Benefits as per the union agreement.
This position will remain open until August 21, 2026.
About the Venue
UBS Arena at Belmont Park is made for music and built for hockey. New York's newest premier entertainment and sports venue and home of the New York Islanders is developed in partnership with Oak View Group, the New York Islanders, and Jeff Wilpon. The state of the art arena opened in November 2021 and has welcomed numerous top artists, including Harry Styles, Sebastian Maniscalco, Billie Eilish, Dua Lipa, TWICE, Eagles, John Mayer, Kendrick Lamar, and Post Malone. The venue delivers an unmatched live entertainment experience for guests, including clear sightlines and premier acoustics.
UBS Arena is at the forefront of sustainability, being awarded LEED Green Building Certification in January 2023. The venue also achieved carbon neutrality for operations in Fall 2022 which made it the first arena to do so on the eastern United States seaboard.
Located on the historic grounds of Belmont Park, UBS Arena is located just 30 minutes by LIRR from Grand Central or Penn Station and is easily accessible from across the region via mass transit or car.
Responsibilities
  • Ability to work overnight shifts (10pm-7am).
  • Lift heavy weight and stand and move on your feet for long periods of time.
  • Follow directions and complete assigned tasks in a timely manner.
  • The individual must possess the following knowledge, skills, and abilities and be able to explain and demonstrate that he or she can perform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation, using some other combination of skills and abilities.
  • Perform a variety of duties, often changing from one task or another, without the loss of efficiency of composure.
  • Follow all operating policies and procedures at all times.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
  • High school Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Job-related training or experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities is preferred.
  • Reliable, punctual, and regular in attendance with good communication skills.
  • Conversion or change-over experience required.
  • Must have the ability to read and write in a working environment.
  • Ability to perform in crisis and to work under pressure without the loss of composure.
  • Ability to sit, walk, stand, lift up to 75 lbs, reach, pull, push, grasp, and drag.
  • Ability to maintain patron, employee, and company confidentiality.
