What You'll Do

As the Area Operations Manager, you'll oversee the operational and financial performance of multiple Industrial Field Service branches throughout your territory.

Your responsibilities include:

  • Leading branch operations while ensuring outstanding customer service, safety, quality, and profitability.
  • Coaching, mentoring, and developing Field Service Supervisors to build strong, engaged teams.
  • Driving accountability through KPIs, productivity metrics, financial performance, and operational excellence.
  • Owning branch P&L performance, labor utilization, revenue growth, gross margin, and overall business results.
  • Partnering with Sales to strengthen customer relationships, identify growth opportunities, and support strategic initiatives.
  • Promoting a safety-first culture while ensuring compliance with company policies and regulatory standards.
  • Standardizing best practices and leading continuous improvement initiatives across all locations.
  • Supporting preventive maintenance, emergency service, inspections, installations, and project execution to deliver exceptional customer experiences.

Required Qualifications
  • Experience leading multiple operations, branches, or service locations.
  • Leadership experience within Industrial Field Service, manufacturing, automation, mechanical service, calibration, metrology, industrial weighing, or another technical service environment.
  • Proven success leading supervisors, managers, or frontline leaders.
  • Strong P&L management experience with demonstrated financial and operational business acumen.
  • Experience improving performance through KPIs, coaching, process improvement, and accountability.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and customer relationship skills.
  • Ability to travel throughout the assigned territory.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in calibration, metrology, industrial weighing, or related industries.
  • Lean Manufacturing or Continuous Improvement experience.
  • Experience with ERP, CRM, or Field Service Management software.
