We are excited for the opportunity to bring aboard highly motivated and energetic individuals to join our teams. Currently, we are seeking a Embedded IT Operations Manager. This role supports our Navy customer in Lexington Park, MD.


Job Description and Responsibilities:
The Embedded IT Operations Manager will serve as the main point of contact for government customers for technical, project, and operational status for all embedded teams. The IT Operations Manager will supervise and oversee performance of the Embedded team resources in addition to these responsibilities and tasks and other duties as assigned. 
Meet routinely with government customers to provide service updates, gather feedback, and ensure customer satisfaction.
Develop a detailed understanding of each project, laboratory, and technical mission area to deliver services aligned with their operational needs.
Mentor technical teams, provide guidance during complex issues, and proactively remove blockers to ensure smooth execution of project and service activities.
Develop and maintain operational processes, documentation, and standards to ensure consistent delivery of IT services across branches and projects. 
Identify risks, gaps, and performance issues within technical operations and recommend appropriate corrective actions. 
Coordinate cross team collaboration to ensure alignment between system administrators, contractors, and government stakeholders. 
Track and report team performance metrics, service outcomes, and technical issues to leadership and government customers. 
Support onboarding, training, and knowledge transfer for Embedded System Administrators and subcontractor staff. 
Participate in technical planning, capability development discussions, and future resource forecasting with the Program Manager and government leadership. 
Assess and prioritize technical issues or customer requests to ensure critical mission needs are met. 
Ensure technical solutions and actions adhere to DoD cybersecurity policy and processes, industry best practices where appropriate and meeting aggressive timelines for authorizations. 
Drive continuous improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing service efficiency, reliability, and customer satisfaction.

Basic Requirements:
PMP or other project management certification preferred
Security+CE preferred
Demonstrated experience leading technical teams, including direct supervision of IT personnel or system administrators.
Strong knowledge of Federal and DoD IT policy and compliance processes.
Proven ability to communicate effectively with government leadership and multi organization contractor teams. 
Experience supporting enterprise and labs environments, technical projects, and complex DoD mission environments.
Experience clearly conveying technical and programmatic information to Branch Heads, government customers, Team Leads, and embedded staff.

Education Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in technical, engineering, or management fields preferred

Security Clearance:  Top Secret - interim clearance to start (must be a US Citizen)

Telework and Travel: On site. 10% travel or telework.

Contract: This position is supporting an active, funded contract.
