Position Summary
As a Retail Management Intern, you will gain hands-on experience leading a retail team, engaging directly with customers, and learning the day-to-day operations of a successful store. Working alongside Store Managers and District Leaders, you will develop leadership skills, learn retail management best practices, and gain exposure to the broader organization through market travel experiences. You will also complete a business-focused project that addresses a real business opportunity and present your findings and recommendations to leadership. Throughout the internship, you will learn how to motivate and manage a store team, analyze business performance, and understand how operational and strategic decisions impact both customer satisfaction and store results.

Retail is a people-focused business, and this internship provides the opportunity to be at the center of the customer experience. You'll support a range of operational activities, including merchandise handling, inventory management, and stocking, while helping the store meet the needs of customers during busy shopping periods, including evenings and weekends. The experience is both rewarding and impactful, giving you the chance to make meaningful contributions while gaining valuable real-world exposure to retail operations.

Education

  • Candidates must be currently enrolled in an associate or bachelor's degree program
  • Students should expect to receive their degree (associate or bachelor) between May 2027 and May 2028.
  • Desired majors are Business Management/Administration, Hospitality, Entrepreneurship, Retail Studies, General Business

Qualifications

  • Candidates must be available to work 35 hours per week for the full 10-week program on a flexible schedule including days, evenings, and weekends.
  • 1-3 years of customer service experience in a fast-paced work environment such as retail, food service, hospitality etc.
  • Effective communication, problem solving, and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast paced, customer focused environment
  • Previous leadership, supervisory, or managerial experience is highly desired.
  • Must be interested in pursuing a career in retail store management

Pay Range
The typical pay range for this role is: $20-$22 per hour. Please disregard the range indicated below.

Location: Re-location assistance services are not offered for this role.

As a Retail Management Intern, you will gain firsthand experience in leading store operations, developing colleagues, and delivering an exceptional customer experience.

Throughout the 10-week program, you will:

Partner with Store Managers and retail leaders to learn leadership best practices

Gain exposure to staffing, talent development, customer engagement, and operational excellence

Develop an understanding of how business decisions impact store performance and customer satisfaction

Participate in leadership development through engagement with field leaders and other retail leaders.

Complete a business-focused project that addresses an opportunity within your assigned store and present your recommendations to leadership

This program is designed to provide meaningful leadership exposure and prepare participants for future opportunities within retail management.

Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is:


$18.90 - $27.90
