Job description

WRT is seeking a talented Summer Intern to join our Landscape Architecture team in the Philadelphia office.
Our sensitive and engaging approach to transforming open space creates places that let people experience and understand their geography and natural systems, reflect on local heritage and culture, and maximize the value ingrained in their landscape. We're looking for a highly motivated candidate that shares WRT's values and collaborative spirit to work on a diverse variety of public and private landscape project types such as parks, plazas, waterfronts, streetscapes, cultural and civic spaces, and academic campuses.
Pay Range: $24.00 - $27.00/hour
Skills & Requirements
Responsibilities include:
  • Informing projects with design ideas
  • Preparing renderings & visual communication graphics for presentations
  • Preparation of construction documents
  • Hands-on experience with active projects and promotional work tasks
  • Working with team members across the firm
  • Collaborating with multidisciplinary staff to solve complex design challenges integrating landscape and architecture within a design and planning context

The ideal candidate will:
  • Be enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Landscape Architecture
  • Have previous professional internship experience
  • Be comfortable working in a fast-paced, collaborative and interdisciplinary environment
  • Possess exceptional design skills with the ability to think at multiple scales and demonstrate design innovation and creativity
  • Have the ability to clearly articulate design concepts, processes, and solutions via verbal and written communications, as well as outstanding graphic representations
  • Be proficient in: AutoCAD, SketchUp, Lumion, Revit, Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop & Illustrator), and Microsoft (Word, Excel & PowerPoint)
