OUR CLIENT

Our client is an established and highly regarded architecture firm in Edmonton, with a diverse portfolio spanning institutional, healthcare, education, commercial, and multi-family projects.

They are looking to add an Intermediate or Senior Architectural Technologist to their growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working across the full project lifecycle and wants to take on increasing responsibility within a collaborative, professional environment.

THE OPPORTUNITY

In this role, you will be responsible for developing detailed architectural drawings and construction documentation using Revit. You will work closely with architects, consultants, clients, and project teams to translate design concepts into coordinated, buildable solutions.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Producing comprehensive drawing and construction document packages in Revit
  • Developing floor plans, elevations, sections, details, schedules, and specifications
  • Supporting projects through design development, permitting, tender, and construction phases
  • Coordinating drawings and information with consultants and project stakeholders
  • Reviewing existing conditions and participating in site visits as required
  • Interpreting and applying Alberta Building Code and relevant regulations
  • Researching zoning requirements and applicable municipal bylaws
  • Assisting with project coordination, deadlines, and deliverables
  • Communicating with internal teams, consultants, contractors, and clients
  • Contributing technical expertise and helping resolve design and construction issues

WHAT YOU BRING

  • 4+ years of architectural technology experience, ideally with experience progressing into an intermediate or senior capacity
  • Strong proficiency in Revit and the ability to independently produce detailed drawing packages
  • Solid understanding of building construction, detailing, and architectural documentation
  • Working knowledge of the Alberta Building Code and municipal zoning requirements
  • Experience with BIM workflows and project coordination
  • Background working on institutional, healthcare, education, commercial, or multi-family projects
  • Strong technical drawing and detailing capabilities
  • Experience conducting site reviews or field investigations is an asset
  • Ability to manage priorities and deliver high-quality work within deadlines
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • A portfolio demonstrating relevant architectural projects, including plans, elevations, sections, and construction details
