Position Overview

Are you an architecturally-minded leader ready to move beyond the drafting board and take full ownership of bespoke, high-stakes residential and commercial designs? We are seeking a Project Manager to steer our most prestigious commissions from the earliest design development phases through the final moments of construction administration. In this role, you aren’t just managing a checklist; you are the guardian of a design philosophy that rejects "cookie-cutter" styles in favor of authentic, site-specific beauty.

Joining our team means immersing yourself in a culture that values "imperfect beauty" and the pursuit of excellence through a relaxed, yet uncompromising, collaborative process. This is a legacy-building opportunity for a professional who thrives in an open-office environment and seeks to mentor the next generation of designers. With a robust benefits package—including 100% employer-paid health insurance and a Safe Harbor 401(k)—this position offers the stability and support needed to focus on what matters: crafting architecture that lasts for generations.

Core Responsibilities

  • End-to-End Project Stewardship: Lead and coordinate all aspects of diverse projects, maintaining a high level of design integrity from schematic phases through complex construction administration.

  • Technical Leadership: Independently apply advanced architectural concepts to solve complex design problems, ensuring every detail aligns with the client’s programmatic requirements and budget.

  • Team Mentorship: Provide direct oversight and technical guidance to junior staff, fostering a culture of lifelong learning and professional growth within the project team.

  • Financial & Operational Management: Drive project financial performance by actively managing budgets, schedules, and resource assignments while identifying services outside of the original scope.

  • Client & Consultant Liaison: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, contractors, and consultants, leading high-level meetings and ensuring clear, transparent communication throughout the project lifecycle.

  • BIM & Documentation Excellence: Oversee the production of high-fidelity construction documents and technical detailing using Revit and AutoCAD to ensure seamless project delivery.

  • Strategic Collaboration: Partner with the Studio Manager and Studio Head to advance the firm’s architectural practices and contribute to a unified, sophisticated portfolio.

Required Qualifications

  • Education: Professionally accredited Bachelor of Architecture (BArch) or Master of Architecture (MArch) degree.

  • Experience: Minimum of 8 years of professional architectural experience.

  • Technical Proficiency: Expert-level command of AutoCAD, Revit, and SketchUp.

  • Leadership: Demonstrated experience leading multidisciplinary teams and managing external consultants.

  • Authorization: Must be authorized to work in the United States.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Licensure: Active Architectural License (RA) is highly preferred.

  • Sector Expertise: Deep experience in high-end, custom single-family residential projects.

  • Artistic Vision: Strong hand-sketching and visualization capabilities to communicate design intent quickly and effectively.
