Job description

Mitsubishi Electric Trane HVAC US LLC - Area Sales Manager I, Commercial

Location: Dayton, OH.

POSITION SUMMARY

Responsible for developing and nurturing relationships with the architectural, engineering and specifier community to educate about Mitsubishi Electric Trane HVAC (METUS) products and their applications, along with increasing the number of specifications and subsequent sales within an assigned territory.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
  • Perform direct and joint sales calls to develop relationships with local architects, engineers, and contractors—educating them on applying CITY MULTI Variable Refrigerant Flow systems and other Mitsubishi Electric Trane HVAC products.
  • Deliver educational presentations to architects, engineers, contractors, and commercial sales channels.
  • Occasional job site visits to support customers and service group members.
  • Participate in local professional networking groups, industry associations, and industry trade shows.
  • Enter and maintain customer information, activities, and quotations in SalesForce Customer Relationship Management System (CRM) or other systems as required.
  • Manage project pipeline ensuring that they are tracked within the SalesForce CRM system.
  • Willing to travel up to 40% for various company meetings and training both domestically and possibly internationally.
  • Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering (preferred) or equivalent experience.
  • 2-5 years technical sales experience.
  • Familiarity with local HVAC commercial sales channels, engineers, and contractors preferred.
  • Ability to read and comprehend architect and engineer plans.
  • Proficient with PowerPoint, Excel, Word and other Microsoft Office products.
  • Proficient public speaking skills.
  • Familiarity with HVAC application and design is preferred.
  • Must reside in the Business Unit Geography.
  • Valid Driver’s License with acceptable driving record.
  • Team player demonstrating METUS core values including a desire to win together, deliver excellence, drive sustainability, focus on execution and learn continuously.
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

The base pay range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be between $72,800 and $100,100 per year; total compensation may include commissions of 30% of total compensation calculated as achievement against annual revenue targets, incentive compensation, and discretionary awards. Eligible employees may enroll in a 401(k) plan, and may participate in company-sponsored medical, dental, vision, and basic life insurance plans for the employee and eligible dependents. Employees will receive 80 hours of vacation per year, 56 hours of paid sick leave annually, and 13 paid holidays throughout the calendar year. Employees may also take up to 12 weeks of paid or unpaid leave, if eligible.

EMPLOYMENT STATUS

At-will position. The company reserves the right to modify base salary and any other discretionary payment or compensation program at any time.
