Job description

Frame Architecture is seeking an experienced Senior Architect to provide leadership for our design studio, oversee project delivery, and help manage our growing team. This position is ideal for an architect who enjoys balancing project management, staff leadership, operations coordination, and technical excellence while contributing to the long-term success of the firm.

The successful candidate will serve as a key member of the leadership team, working closely with the Principal and Director of Operations to ensure projects are delivered efficiently, staff workloads are properly managed, and client expectations are exceeded.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and mentor Project Managers, Production Staff, and other architectural team members.
  • Foster a collaborative, productive, and positive studio culture.
  • Monitor staff performance, professional development, and resource allocation.
  • Assist with recruitment, onboarding, and staff retention initiatives.
Project Management & Delivery:
  • Oversee multiple projects simultaneously from concept through construction administration.
  • Ensure projects are delivered on schedule, within budget, and to Frame Architecture quality standards.
  • Coordinate project staffing and workload assignments.
  • Monitor project milestones, deadlines, and deliverables.
  • Assist project teams with technical challenges and design solutions.
Operations & Scheduling:
  • Work closely with the Operations Manager and Principal to coordinate office-wide schedules and workloads.
  • Participate in project forecasting, resource planning, and strategic growth initiatives.
  • Implement efficient production workflows and quality control procedures.
  • Support firm-wide operational improvements and best practices.
Technical Leadership:
  • Provide technical guidance on project development and documentation.
  • Maintain high standards for construction documents and project quality.
  • Review project work for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with applicable codes and regulations.
Qualifications Required:
  • Licensed Architect in the State of Nevada
  • NCARB Certification
  • Minimum 10+ years of professional architectural experience
  • Demonstrated experience managing multiple projects and architectural teams
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
  • Proven ability to balance project demands, staffing needs, and deadlines
Software Proficiency:
  • Advanced proficiency in Revit
  • Experience with rendering and visualization software including:
  • Twinmotion
  • Microsoft Office Suite
  • Project management and scheduling software experience preferred
Preferred:
  • Experience in public sector, commercial, civic, educational, and community-focused projects.
  • Business development and client relationship management experience.
  • Strong understanding of project budgeting and financial management.
