    Senior Millwork Engineer


    Our client in Dallas, Ga is seeking an experienced, dependable, and detail-oriented Senior Millwork Engineer with a strong background in custom architectural millwork and manufacturing. The ideal candidate is capable of engineering projects from approved submittals through production, creating accurate manufacturing documentation, and collaborating effectively with project management and production teams. This individual thrives in a fast-paced environment, works independently with minimal supervision, solves complex engineering challenges, and is committed to continuous improvement, quality, and engineering excellence.


    Responsibilities

    • Engineer custom architectural millwork projects from approved submittals through production.
    • Produce accurate shop drawings, manufacturing drawings, and engineering documentation.
    • Generate, review, and verify Bills of Materials (BOMs).
    • Develop complete, accurate, and production-ready manufacturing documentation.
    • Collaborate with project managers, production personnel, and manufacturing teams to resolve engineering challenges.
    • Support manufacturing by troubleshooting engineering and production issues.
    • Maintain engineering standards, drafting best practices, and quality expectations.
    • Identify opportunities to improve engineering workflows, manufacturing efficiency, and material utilization.
    • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineering staff as needed.


    Qualifications

    • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Millwork Engineer.
    • Extensive knowledge of custom architectural millwork construction methods and manufacturing processes.
    • Proven experience creating manufacturing-ready shop drawings and engineering documentation.
    • Thorough understanding of Bill of Materials (BOM) development and manufacturing workflows.
    • Ability to interpret architectural drawings, project specifications, and customer requirements.
    • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
    • Ability to manage multiple projects while maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
    • Proficiency with AutoCAD and Microsoft Office Suite.
    • Experience with Microvellum is highly preferred.
    • Experience supporting CNC manufacturing and nested-based manufacturing.
    • Understanding of material optimization, machining strategies, and production processes.
    • Experience with Cabinet Vision, CutRite, WoodWOP, or other CAD/CAM and CNC programming software is a plus.
    • Dependable, detail-oriented, and capable of working independently with minimal supervision.
    • Demonstrated ability to solve complex engineering challenges while maintaining high-quality manufacturing documentation.
