Job description

Description

Who we are: Advanced Radiology Services is one of the largest physician-owned radiology practices in the country. Our growing practice includes 190 radiologists, 40 advanced practice providers, and 200 employees providing administrative support in our wholly owned subsidiary STARS. We value diversity on our team and promote a culture of inclusion.

What we do: ARS provides services to more than 60 different sites across the state of Michigan.   We are the exclusive radiology provider to Holland Hospital and Corewell Zeeland Hospital. Holland Hospital is among the few Michigan hospitals to consistently receive the top 5-Star quality rating from the Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services. They are also recognized as the region's low cost provider and among the nation's top hospitals for health care value.

What we are looking for: We are currently accepting applicants for a Holland/Zeeland based Breast Imaging Radiologist. This is a partnership track position.  We offer a weekday only, 100% breast on site option with 10 weeks off or our standard track option which offers 13 weeks' vacation and requires 11 weekends.

Responsibilities:

Interpret digital mammography, contrast-enhanced mammography, breast MRI, tomosynthesis and breast ultrasound

Perform stereotactic, ultrasound-guided and MRI-guided biopsies and breast localizations

Participate in tumor boards and collaborate with breast surgeons and medical oncologists to treat breast cancer patients

OB ultrasound and general diagnostic studies also available based on candidate interest/skillset

Remote mammo work station available for work from home

All radiologists receive an additional stipend for on-site shifts

Why is our practice unique? ARS is a 100% physician owned and managed practice.  We are committed to remaining independent.  We are looking for entrepreneurial minded physicians who value involvement in decision making and developing our business strategy. Participation in section, committee and board meetings is not required but welcomed from day one. While we are an independent private practice, some of our physicians practice with an academic focus. In affiliation with Michigan State University College of Medicine, our radiologists have opportunities to teach and mentor residents in Grand Rapids and pursue research if desired. Due to the size and breadth of the healthcare systems we support, diagnostic volume and variety of clinical exposure is unrivaled.

Compensation/Benefits:  We are offering a 100K recruitment incentive (sign on bonus),  competitive compensation package and opportunities for additional shifts on a month to month basis. Our physicians have no out of pocket expense for medical/dental/vision coverage and enjoy an $18,000 medical reimbursement account annually. We also contribute the maximum amount allowed to the 401K plan ($70,000 in 2025). We offer 10 weeks of vacation (on site/ no nights/weekends) or 13 weeks of vacation for our standard track positions and we are continually striving to improve the work/life balance for our physicians.

Why do you want to live here? Holland is located on the Lake Michigan shoreline and was voted "The Prettiest Town in Michigan" by Architectural Digest in 2018. Holland is known for its extensive Dutch culture, unique architecture and ambiance. The city was the focus of the popular "Pure Michigan" advertising campaign in 2014, and is chock-full of recreational activities, shops, art galleries, beautiful beaches and outstanding school options for your growing family. It offers a bustling downtown with top notch brewing options such as New Holland Brewing. Home to Hope College and office furniture giants, Herman Miller and Haworth, there is a strong economy and low unemployment.
