Job description

Project Manager – Architecture


We are representing a well-established architectural firm seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead a diverse portfolio of educational, healthcare, civic, and commercial projects from concept through construction.


Responsibilities

  • Manage architectural projects through all phases, including schematic design, design development, construction documents, permitting, bidding, and construction administration.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, consultants, contractors, and governing agencies.
  • Develop and manage project schedules, budgets, staffing plans, and deliverables.
  • Lead and coordinate internal project teams and outside consultants.
  • Review drawings and specifications for quality, coordination, code compliance, and constructability.
  • Participate in client meetings, presentations, and project planning sessions.
  • Respond to RFIs, review submittals, coordinate change orders, and support construction administration efforts.
  • Mentor junior staff and provide leadership to project team members.
  • Assist with proposals, interviews, business development initiatives, and maintaining client relationships.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Architecture preferred.
  • 7+ years of architectural project management experience.
  • Proven experience managing projects through all phases of design and construction.
  • Strong understanding of building codes, permitting processes, and consultant coordination.
  • Experience with educational, healthcare, civic, or public-sector projects preferred.
  • Architectural license preferred or actively pursuing licensure.
  • Experience coordinating with state and local regulatory agencies.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and client management skills.
