Job description

Who Weโ€™re Looking For

Megazone Cloud is looking for a Director of AI & Databricks Solutions to be a chief designer of our AI practice and a technical authority for our clients. Reporting directly to the CTO, you are a "builder" at heartโ€”equally comfortable in the code as you are in the boardroomโ€”but your primary focus is on strategy, design, and the ethical governance of AI.

You thrive on solving ambiguous, high-stakes business problems and designing the end-to-end technical solutions that solve them. As a key client-facing expert, you will lead technical discovery, set the GenAI strategy, and guide our teams to execute a clear vision. You are a master of the Databricks ecosystem and the leading Cloud Service Providers (CSPs).

What Youโ€™ll Do
  • Lead Technical Strategy & Design: Architect and oversee the implementation of enterprise-scale AI/ML and GenAI platforms across AWS, Azure, GCP, and Databricks.

  • Be the Client-Facing Expert: Lead discovery workshops to surface high-impact use cases, translate complex business requirements into architectural roadmaps, and present ROI models to executive stakeholders.

  • Architect the Future: Design reference architectures on Databricks covering data pipelines, feature stores, model training, vector databases, and real-time inference.

  • Own the Ecosystem: Drive strategic relationships with AWS, Azure, GCP, and Databricks, ensuring our offerings leverage the latest innovations in GenAI and MLOps.

  • Set the Standard: Define best practices for responsible AI, data quality, and security, serving as the final point of escalation for complex technical challenges.

  • Mentor and Multiply: Lead and grow a multidisciplinary team of engineers and data scientists, acting as a "force multiplier" through technical guidance and design reviews.

  • Market Leadership: Represent Megazone Cloud at industry conferences, publish white papers, and position the firm as a premier leader in applied-AI innovation.

What You Bring (Requirements)
  • Professional Experience: 8-12+ years of experience in data science, AI, and data ecosystems, with at least 5 years leading cross-functional technical teams.

  • Databricks Mastery: Deep, hands-on expertise with the Databricks stack and a proven track record of integrating Databricks into complex client environments.

  • Cloud Architecture: 2+ years of progressive experience in cloud architecture or solutions engineering across AWS, Azure, or GCP.

  • Strategic Leadership: Proven ability to build, manage, and mentor technical teams while managing multi-faceted projects.

  • C-Suite Excellence: Exceptional skills in presenting to executive audiences and translating business needs into technical designs.

  • Educational Foundation: Bachelorโ€™s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field (Masterโ€™s or PhD preferred).

  • A "Builder" Mindset: A startup mentality, a strategic approach to problem-solving, and a genuine thirst for knowledge.

Bonus Points (Nice-to-Haves)
  • Relevant high-level certifications (e.g., Databricks Machine Learning Professional, AWS ML Specialty, Azure AI Engineer, or Google Professional ML Engineer).

  • Experience in a Professional Services or consulting environment.

Why Youโ€™ll Love It Here
  • Our Product is Our People: We live by this. We invest in people who invest in themselves. Your growth is our growth.

  • True Servant Leadership: Our CTO leads with a "force multiplier" philosophy. Management is here to empower you and clear roadblocks, not to micromanage. We won't ask you to do anything we're not willing to do ourselves.

  • Flat Organization, Real Impact: Your voice and designs will directly shape our technical roadmap and our clients' success. You'll work on the latest tech to solve real problems.

  • A "Learn-from-it" Culture: We're moving fast and building new things. We believe mistakes are learning opportunities, not failures.

We seek diverse talent who are ready to make an immediate impact. We believe that innovation thrives when teams are built with a variety of backgrounds, experiences, and perspectives. If you are excited by this mission, we encourage you to apply, even if your experience doesn't perfectly match every qualification listed.

Megazone Cloud is an Equal Opportunity Employer and participates in E-Verify to confirm the employment eligibility of all new hires.
