ARCHITECTURAL DESIGN ASSOCIATEFull-Time | In-Person | Montrose, CA

Alexx Kesh Design Studio is seeking a highly detail-oriented Architectural Design Associate with a strong technical design background to support the development and documentation of our residential and commercial projects.

This role is ideal for someone who is highly proficient in architectural drafting, construction documentation, 3D modeling, and visualization, with a strong understanding of how design concepts translate into clear, buildable details.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Develop detailed 3D models and high-quality renderings using SketchUp

  • Produce and maintain architectural and construction drawing sets

  • Develop floor plans, reflected ceiling plans, elevations, sections, and detailed design drawings

  • Translate design concepts and approved selections into clear technical documentation for construction

  • Develop detailed drawings for custom millwork, cabinetry, built-ins, and architectural features

  • Prepare and coordinate lighting, electrical, plumbing, finish, and fixture plans

  • Read, review, and interpret architectural plans, consultant drawings, and construction documents

  • Assist with space planning and architectural design development

  • Incorporate project revisions and field conditions accurately into drawing sets and 3D models

  • Coordinate technical design information with the internal design team, contractors, fabricators, and consultants

  • Maintain organized and up-to-date project files, models, drawings, and documentation

QUALIFICATIONS
  • Advanced proficiency in SketchUp required

  • Strong architectural drafting and construction documentation experience

  • Proficiency in AutoCAD

  • Strong ability to read and interpret architectural and construction plans

  • Working knowledge of general construction methods, materials, and detailing

  • Experience producing floor plans, RCPs, elevations, sections, millwork drawings, and interior architectural details

  • Strong 3D modeling and rendering capabilities

  • Understanding of dimensions, scale, proportion, clearances, and buildability

  • Strong attention to detail with a high level of accuracy

  • Ability to manage multiple drawing sets and deadlines in a fast-paced studio environment

  • Organized, proactive, collaborative, and comfortable working as part of a design team

  • Previous experience within an architecture, design, or construction-focused studio preferred
